| I have been with MJF for some 6 years now and have realized I finally made it to 1000 posts yee ha! Anyway, to celebrate I will randomly send out a sewing and craft box! My favorite thing about spring, is color, all the pretty colors, especially green.

Please enter me also. My favorite thing about spring is that everything is starting a new life all over again and turning green, leaves forming on the trees, the birds are singing happily, and my soul seems to get renewed also.

| Oh you guys I think I've been on the farm to long. I read the topic line that said "just hit 1000 posts" and literally the first thing that went through my mind was that she's gotta be one tired lady. 1000 posts(and I was thinking fence posts) is an awful lot to put in. I gotta get out more:) Congratulations! and what a nice thing to do Sue! Spring, to me means new life, the starting over or the beginning of things. |

Congrats Sue! So sweet of you to do something fun! I just want to participate for the fun of it (so don't enter me in the drawing) but I do love spring and wanted to participate in just listing my favorite thing about spring. I love spring because I can soon tell my granddaughter that the fairies will be returning to her little fairy garden after their long winter at the beach where they go to collect "treasure" (pearls she finds in the garden after she has been gone awhile). She wondered how in the world do they move their furniture so far away and I reminded her that they know "Fairy Magic". She has been watching for their return on a regular basis. She knows when they have been there because things are moved around and they hide pearls amongst their flowers. So fun! She is so cute and adores fairies almost as much as her Mammaw adores the spring flowers. Fun post, ladies! Thanks for always being creative on MaryJanesFarm -- and doing such fun things. ;)

Since I just won Nancy's drawing I'm not entering this drawing . . wouldn't be fair.
But I'd like to share one of my favorite things about spring, which is watching all the lambs, calves, baby goats in the field and the goslings on the canal water. I just enjoy watching all the new babies as they are born and as they grow.
This is our latest "spring fling" . . . our Longhorn calf named "Pepper"... born on April 7th.

Spring means having lots of bouquets in the garden. First tulips in every color, then the lilacs bloom with their intoxicating smell. Then we can enjoy peonies and of course, pansies. I love the flowers!

It is so hard for me to chose. Spring is my favorite
time of year. Color! I love all the colors, the wild flowers, Birds
baby animals, longer days and warmer temperatures.

Spring.... the "AWAKENING" after a long winters nap...flowers m a soft gentle rain, bees n chick-a-dees. green grass n leafy trees, butterflies n lilac, sheets on the clothes on the line: dancing in time to a gentle breeze...a sit on the porch in an old rockin chair, the tinkle of ice in a lil ole mason jar then..... a sip of sweet tea...umhuh...doesn't get much better ...Yep.. I be likin that!! Please enter me!! Blessings n Happy Spring!!

For me, I think my favorite thing about Spring is how my community comes out of its "cocoon" and more things go on around town. For example, yesterday was our town's Earth Day celebration and today was Family Fun Day at a local farm.

Congrats on the 1000. Living in FL one can get lost in which season it is. For me spring was always my favorite season, I live in it my memories every March through June. The first robin that shows up in your yard, then the daffodils, tulips, and the lilacs and lily of the valley, mushroom hunting, waiting for the first hummingbird on the feeders, and watching the trees come back to life. I always thought grass was always greenest in the spring. Those are my favorites. Karla |
