Theresa -

Do you sell the handknit socks? I LOVE handknit socks and the gals I used to buy from no longer do that. Some of them used the older Circular Sock knitting machines. Knit socks are just so much more comfortable during the winter months.

Here is my Crooked Courthouse Steps quilt top I sewed together yesterday. It is a Bonnie Hunter pattern and I love the scrappiness of it. I used quite a few of my scrap strips, but it hardly made a dent. :-( I am trying to decide what border to put on it. I'm thinking about a 1" solid border first, but then can't decide what to do after that. Would a piano key border make it even more busier than it already is? Or I could do a black background with small multicolor print fabric for the border? Decisions decisions.

Thank you, Grace. I like scrappy and at first wasn't sure I'd like this. I put it up for a while and came back to it recently.

Linda, that’s a pretty quilt! I don’t make quilts but my eyes think a solid color boarder would look good.

Gorgeous quilt!! I would definitely do a solid border next to the blocks. It will give the eye a place to rest! :)

Today I decided to repurpose an empty photo envelope. I am thinking I will make some cards to put inside.

Beautiful quilt Linda, I agree with the solid border. I love your repurposed photo envelope Karen.

I've been stitching the swirls on a piece of material with a hospital sheet as backing. It will make a nice summer blanket. Now I'm going to bind it.

Pretty summer blanket Vanessa. The swirls look way good.

Vanessa, I love it! I used a sheet as a backer for a few of my smaller quilt tops too. There are wonderful for those summer naps! :)

Linda, No I do not sell anything I make. I am into so many different crafts I only work on things that bring me joy. The one and only time I decided to try to sell things I felt like it was a job and took the joy out of it for me. But I do agree, I love homemade socks.

Linda, I love your quilt. I think I would go with a solid so it wouldn't take away from the lovely piecing.

Karen, Oh my goodness what a great idea and so pretty. I will never look at cardboard envelopes the same again.

Vanessa, Great needle work. It will make such a nice light weight blanket

What a neat quilt Linda! I'd love to see what you choose for a boarder!

Karen - you are a very talented paper crafter!

Vanessa - love the stitched swirls!

Woops! I hit the wrong button:

I've been working on some Christmas gifts - fingerless mittens, scarves, and hats. The hats are for my little nieces and nephews. I have 4 to make. I thought they were crocheted but they're not! So, I've been slowly relearning to knit LOL.

Today I've been working on additional blocks for my Crooked Courthouse Steps quilt top. I have almost 18 done and will still need 45 more if I decide to make it 12 x 12 blocks. LOL! I like the look of just adding binding to the scrappy top, but may decide to add a border instead. Decisions, decisions.

I took liberty of nothing good on TV this weekend, to do a little cross stitching..
Made my version of a Christmas Cactus with seed beads for dimension..
I haven’t crossed stitched in way to long…
