I remember reading a thread somewhere here on the formum where some of you ladies revamped traveling suitcases to be your traveling craft or art cases for glamping... I can't find that thread now, but I wanted to share... I have been searching for a decent little travel case for a long time now and today, I found her!! A little red beauty with an internal tray and some sort of little fold over case. Liner is in pretty darn good condition, although, I may tear it out and redo it with some french toile fabric. I brought her home for only $5! She even came with vintage luggage tags - a couple from some Air Force Bases, they are extra charm and bling in my opinion. I'm so thrilled with this little gal. So, I will be cleaning her up and stocking her up with crafty goodies to stash her away in my little glamper which I've also been working on fixing up, cleaning and decorating. Any other ideas you ladies can share regarding a travel crafty case is appreciated!

Oh, what a beauty she is April? In great condition for only $5, way to go! I can not wait to see her redo!

Lucky girl -- what a great bargain. I've been looking for one for ages, except for the past 2+ years when I haven't been anywhere. The fun is in the hunt.

Awesome find April! I know many of those who were on that thread decoupaged the outside of their traveling cases too. I don't remember the name of the thread but those cases,were so great when they were finished. I was thinking Grace (katmom) had some but I am not sure now. That will look so pretty in red with ths french toile!

There is a site on facebook, that is for vintage train cases.. lots of fab ideas for cutesyfing your train case..
I have several, some I decoupaged' the outside.. I even 'Duck"(brand) Taped" one,,,

April, I remember my sisters having a travel case like this gorgeous red one!! You found a great oldie is good condition and I have no doubt that you are going to have fun with it!!

I spent some time out on my patio yesterday cleaning her up, her lining is nearly perfect, has just pulled away in one place, easy fix with a little hot glue, no tears, no blemishes. I even found the two keys, brand new, still in their original sealed little envelope! Crazy! the original mirror that is in a fold over case that snaps to the inside of the top fora little vanity mirror! AND, I even found a little dachsund charm inside - perfect, as I have a little chiweenie. It's like it was meant to me!!
