I felt like I might be getting something. Not feeling the best tonight. Sinus but also the shivers. drinking hot tea with lemon. Hope the kiddos I was with don't get it.

Dear friends, my grand daughter named Baylee, married June 2nd, turned 21 two days later, the sweetest young lady I know was diagnosed today as having rheumatoid arthritis! She came to visit last night and told us her symptoms, and she had been to see a local ortho. He was alarmed by her blood work and called for an appointment with the doctor in Waco. That specialist called Her back two days later and told Her to come today, a week later. Her mom drove her there this morning. This breaks my heart. I know my own pain! She is so young. He offered her meds, but when he told her the side affects, she said she would rather wait. (It could Rob her of her color vision and or her vision.)
Please join me in praying for her!

Sending Prayers, Marilyn. She is so young. Did she have any indications this might be what was wrong before going to the doctor?

Thanks Linda, for catching that mistake!
She told us last night that she has had a lot of pain. Fingers, toes, ankles, everywhere! She said sometimes she can't pick up her purse or her text books, because of the stiffness and pain in her hands, wrists, etc. So she went to Dr. Kevin Vandenberg, who did blood work, which was concerning. He made a call to the specialist in Waco. That doctor saw her in a week...most folks wait months to get in. That tells me Kevin Vandenberg was worried about her.He is an Orothapaedic Surgeon.

Prayers for Baylee, my mom had rheumatoid arthritis. I knew a young girl in her 20's who had it when we were stationed in Hawaii in the early 80's. I hope they have come a long way in their research since then. I don't know what med they had my mom on but nothing with side effects like that.

That is so good that she went to a doctor who immediately got her to the specialist she needs. Hope and prayers for Baylee.

Praying for your granddaughter, Marilyn. I'm so glad that she was able to get help so quickly. I also hope she can find an alternative to what they were offering her.

Thank you Denise. She spent the morning with us, decorating with her sister in their Bapas tv room. Then off to the local craft fair and lunch. Then she had to go to work. We did not talk about it. She seemed to need to have fun...and I believe she did.
