Please pray for my Aunt Judy. We grew up together. She is more like a Sister than an Aunt. She is 4 years older than me, She has a rare tumor in her Neck, in her carotid Artery( spelled wrong) and it has spread to her Spine and Brain. The Dr's said, they have never seen nothing like it. The West Cancer Clinic in Memphis has sent her to a another Dr., Right now they don't know what, if any treatment is available.
Thank you! Connie

Praying for your Aunt Judy, Connie, and for all farmgirl sisters who need prayers and support. Hugs to all.
I'm home, tired, and starting to get ready to move things to new house and get ready to hopefully sell my farmhouse quickly.

Adding my prayers for everyone here who is facing a crisis with either their own health or a loved one. It seems like locally and here , which is nationally, people our age are seeing their own health, family health , and other concerns increase every year. Aging is difficult because there are many losses and struggles along the way. We have a very close friend who has been experiencing vertigo, weakness in his legs, fuzzy mental status and a few other symptoms. Physicians started with his heart because of his cardiac history but all those tests were negative. Then an ENT doctor thought it was an inner ear issue. But the last doctor, a Neurologist, discovered very low levels of B12 and other B vitamins. He was started on B12 injection, and OTC vitamin supplements. He wrote us this weekend that he feels better than he has been in months. He will remain on B12 injections until his levels come up to normal and then see if he can maintain that with OTC tablets. Whew!! He has been so frustrated and scared since July last Summer when he first fainted out of the blue. It is amazing how these little things get out of balance as we age, and a whole host of symptoms show up that make it hard to pinpoint the problem. In the meantime, we stumble along trying to compensate as best we can and continue searching for answers.

B vitamins! I learned very early on that my mother my sister and I all had a problem keeping our B vitamin supply up where we needed it to be. Mother kept B vitamin injectable supplies in her fridge and have herself the shots.( That is as in the 1950s and 1960s.) I keep panothenic acid, B5, it is the one B that is not always have included in a multiple vitamin. I take as needed, not daily.
Vitamin D3 is the vitamin I have a problem finding. I refuse to buy it, if it is in soybean oil, which most D3 is in. Then I read recently, so hat we need K2 with it!?!?!?

I take raw multivitamin as well as b complex. It seems to really help taking the extra b. I have been taking antihistamines since summer but it doesn't seem to help with the sinus trouble. Can't seem to shake it.

Denise -

I can commiserate with you on the sinus problems. Since my surgery and radiation I cannot seem to shake the stuffiness in my nasal passages and it is driving me bonkers.

With the cleaning I am doing trying to get my house ready to sell I find wearing a mask is helping keep the dust out of my nose, but it doesn't seem to be making the drainage any less. I have some B-complex and will see if I need more and start trying that. Maybe that will help.

I appreciate all the help I get from my farm sisters.

Connie, I have a card ready to go out to your aunt today. I tried to send you an email and for some reason, it's not going out. What a great idea! I hope that they can cheer and encourage her. Please keep us posted on her progress.

Connie, how is your aunt doing?

I see a new thread bumped this one. I thought I was posting on this one so didn't realize this had been posted about your aunt on the third of February.

If you all wouldn't mind a quick prayer. I am having a lot of trouble with my lower back. I haven't been to the chiropractor for months and I'm not sure how they are working appointments now but I think I need to go. Some days I have pain from walking and other days sitting is bad. So prayers that I can get in and get some relief from this. I have been icing it which seems to help and also using arnica rub.

My back pain is helped by a beating pad.
I've never been to a chiropractor about it. Although my grandkids and my son find them helpful.
My right leg, my lower back, all the way to my toes, hurt with horrid pain last evening. First I took baby asprin, to thin the blood, then I tried pain patches, and went to bed. An hour later I was up, walking about. Back to bed, up once more, sat in the recliner with the heat on the lower back. Finally at 2:30am I took Advil and turned the heating pad so it went from my butt down past the bend of my knee. I sat down on it, put the foot rest up on my recliner and laid it back. Finally, after about 15 minutes I finally slept. TYG.
Eucalyptus essential oil is also good for pain. I did not use it last night due to the pain patches.
After six whiplash injuries to my neck, my upper back trying to fuse itself together, and a ruptured disc in my lower back, I have pain.

Thank you both.

Marilyn, when the pain goes down my leg I have to ice because of the inflammation. My chiropractor does that when I tell them it is in the leg as well as lower back.
Prayers for you also.

I was told ice for the first 48 hours then alternate heat and ice 20 minutes each after that.
