Love these quilts Linda and Carole! There is nothing more special than a handcrafted quilt in my opinion. It is so fun to see how the fabrics and patterns emerge into a work of art.

I am painting Christmas lights, holly, gingerbread people, Santa and Rudolph, and candy canes on the first one. I have my idea for the other one, but I think I will sleep on it and see what I wake up with in the morning. Then draw it and begin.

Working on a quilt for my granddaughter. I decided to cut all the blocks and then do all the sewing. Sometimes I will cut a block and put it together and then the next and so on so I can stayed motivated. The colors are primary colors and each block is a different pattern. Hoping it will turn out well. I want to give it to her for her birthday in September. It takes awhile on the cutting as I an doing it all with just scissors as I can't get to my mat and rolling cutter at present. At least I won't be sewing by hand until I get to the quilting part. After hers I will work on one for the next oldest granddaughter and on until they all have one.
I needed to get back to my quilting to stay a bit sane here.

I just finished the muslins for an pair of pants and top. I've bought and cut the fashion fabric, too. It's for my nephew's engagement party in a few weeks. Better get it done soon!

Happy Day!

I gave a crazy quilt demo at the American Swedish Institute in conjunction with several quilt exhibits there. They have 2,000-3,000 people in attendance. It is in a mansion owned by the owner of a Swedish American newspaper at the turn of the century. I love crazy quilting.

Winnie, I am looking forward to seeing your Apple ideas when your done.

I finished making a brooch pin for a swap, and am working on some other plastic canvas things for a surprise.

Have a good evening.

Winnie, Surprised? Lol. I look forward to seeing what you are coming up with. (:))
I spent yesterday in the garden and getting some yard work done. Looks so much better out there. Painted one of my tables for the porch now that is finally finished I can put the furniture back. Can't wait to relax out there with a good book and tea!
Today sewing is on my agenda if I don't get sidetracked again.

Carole, have you seen this rose fabric before. I think it probably came out six or seven or more years ago. It is a light weight cotton, with a blend of something.

Marilyn, haven't seen it. Lawn pale green background would work.

Thanks Carole. I may have found it. I had purchased some and cut it into 10" squares for a fabric swap. Then Beverley wanted to find some more of it. I went back to the local shop to look for it or the company name...nothing. So now I have given her the info and she can search it out now.

Hello everyone,

I'm continuing to stay out of trouble by keeping busy with my quilting. Did get the second half of Slice of Cake done and sewn together.

And I scheduled a play date with Penelope (My longarm). I used the panto wave on wave! I love the movement!

For the past couple of evenings, I've been working on hand stitching the binding! I do enjoy that part! So relaxing!

Thanks every one for your kind comment.

Bonnie, looking forward to seeing pictures of your 125th Anniversary State Park quilt.

I continue to keep busy. It does help in keeping me out of trouble!

I finished Frivol 6 - Vintage by Fig Tree & Co. I just love the soft colors.

Catch you later! Cheers!
