It may also be a good time for families to reconnect and find time for each other.

I painted new trim we put up this past weekend and then since two small narrow pieces we used have this beautiful leaf design I got the bright idea to paint the leaves and vines. So I will be working on that until it is finished. I do like the way it is coming out but it is very small and my hands aren't as steady as they use to be so we shall see how it all comes out. If all else fails then there is always paint to go over it. LOL.

I am waiting on a sunny day about 60 to paint my front door a second coat. Its a pretty yellow! We had the whole house painted the same color, blue, it would cost another 2000. to change the color! I wanted to paint it white! It had not been painted in 20 years!! The painters were here in December, got too damp to paint and when it warmed enough to paint they wanted me to leave my door ajar all night! to let it dry!! We have less crime in the country but I would also have Raccoons and Possums in my house! LOL! Me and Lily June cleaned out our raised flower bed a little. We have not had a good day in a month! its either raining or Cold and Windy and sunny. It will be good for all of us to get out side in our backyards and get some sunshine and fresh air. its in the 70's now, I got windows up. storms tonight and cold front. dropping temp to high of 54 tomorrow. My Dr. said its also seasonal allergies now and that is why some are coughing and sneezing! Zyrtek has helped me. Little white flowers from the Bradford pear trees, look like snow on the ground! I have 2 in my front yard. I stay in as much as I can till they are done blooming.

After a big midnight wind blew through a week or so ago it looked like snow. Every pretty bloom from the plum trees had shattered and fallen to the ground.

The trim is taking me a while. Since it is already on the wall it is a lot of standing which I can't do a lot of at one time. So I have to take breaks and walk around. It is slow going because the refrigerator now needs to ne moved so I can get a better angle on the trim.

I think the spring weather is going to help a lot of people just feel better! Being outside and getting some fresh air and sun does a body wonders.

That is true Debbie. Unfortunate that today and most of our coming week is a forecast of rain. Makes things a bit on the depressing side.
I spent a lot of yesterday crocheting and watching old movies. I didn't get to watch The Quiet Man on Tuesday so I put that in and watched. I've always enjoyed that movie.

Denise -- The Quiet Man is my favorite St. Patricks Day movie. I sure missed it this year as our new internet service and tv haven't learned to play nice together yet.

I'm working on my sewing room. I re-arranged it and am adding a second table. It sure takes a long time to sort through a life time of collecting. But am finding treasures.

UFO #4 finished today. It's a little quilt from two years ago when I was in three little quilt groups. I got bored with this one and never put it all together. It's done now. I've been doing scrappy backs on some of my quilts to help empty my scrap bin. This quarantine is really helping me to finish all these unfinished projects.

I would post pictures but the image thingy doesn't seem to be working right now

OMG! Judith that is an adorable quilt ... I just love it! I'm a scrap quilt fan myself ... I was checking out all your fabrics to see if I had any in my stash. lol

I enjoy making small quilts and use them as decorative pieces. If you know someone that is handy you can ask him/her to make you a quilt rack to hang then. I just love mine ... I used those 3m strips to hang the rack ... love those things.

I got the idea of using small quilts as decoration pieces from Jo Morton ... an article I read in American Patchwork and Quilting ... her home was decorated with small quilts. It was lovely!

Carole, nice little quilts on your rack. DH is a carpenter so he could make some but I need to find the wall space. For now they are just here there and everywhere around the house. I miss Jo Morton's Little Women club but I really do understand her desire to retire. My group has expanded to other designers and sometimes we take large quilt patterns and shrink them down. Lots of fun.

So cute, Judith and Carole!!! Such tiny pieces!
I decided to go for a walk this afternoon...didn't need a coat...perfect walking weather outside! It has been a quiet Sunday. A little odd not being able to go to church but I was able to watch it live streamed at least. I hope this quarantine is over sooner than later. I don't mind staying put at all, but I really do miss church and my church family.

I'm making some masks. I figured I would practice on my family members first...who knows they may not even want one. I went to the sewing house to look for my narrow elastic but it was too dark out there. So I will go back in the morning. I have tons of it, but in the mindfulness of evening I did not see it.

I love your little quilts ladies. As I get older i'm finding that there are some things That I used to enjoy doing but find them more difficult now. I love to piece quilt tops. But as they grow they become difficult to deal with. So I'm taking a lesson from the two of you...now I will take a look at my tops. I'm thinking of getting my seam ripper and taking a big top and making four little quilts. Thanks for the inspiration a.

Marilyn -- I love piecing quilts and have quilted many but I also have gotten older and quilting a big quilt on a domestic machine has gotta downright painful. Little quilts are fun; easy to piece, fast to quilt, and binding doesn't take forever even if you do it by hand. Arthritis has made my left hand difficult so I'm now doing binding by machine. I still have about a dozen tops put away that need quilting, plus a couple that my g-grandmother never got around to. I guess she got old too.
