Connie, there is a lady here who had a double lung transplant 8 years ago. Her hubby is an attorney who went to school with my hubby. I had to call him the other day and I asked about his family. He said the doctor told his wife to work from home during this special time.
I have no idea why she had to have that done, she never smoked.

Could we all say a prayer for our sweet Sherry. She has some medical issues going on and I bet a prayer for a speedy recovery would be appreciated.

Julie,
Thank you for letting us know. I know she has had trouble getting into the henhouse but I didn't know she was having medical problems. Will certainly be praying for her.

A few prayers for me would be nice, too. I have an MRI on my right shoulder at 11:30 PM on Monday (yes, they have them up to midnight). I would have had to wait until Friday otherwise. The doctor thinks my symptoms are definitely a rotator cuff problem, probably bone spur. He doesn't think there is a tear, because of movements I can make. The rays will tell for sure. Hopefully it will be a scope surgery and nothing more serious. I'm a little apprehensive. My arm has been bothering me for almost 4 months, but the shoulder pain just started 2 weeks ago. This is a doctor that Ed worked with - he's the one who did the scope on my knee. We had a phone conversation Wednesday and will have another by phone after he sees the MRI results. Then if necessary I will see him in the office. What a different time we live in that almost all doctors are using phone or video appointments.

Thanks! You farm girl sisters are the best.

Prayers for Dianna Hauf who broke(crushed) her forearm a couple of days ago. She had surgery yesterday, where the doctor put her back in place with plates and screws. She has moderate pain. Please remember this sweetest Farm girl sister when you pray. Thank you.

Good luck Linda with your MRI. I hope it won't need any surgery to fix. Diane had written me earlier this week about her broken arm, but she didn't mention surgery. Thanks for letting us know, Marilyn!! Keeping Linda and Dianne in my prayers for speedy healing.

Praying for Sherry, Linda’s shoulder.Dianna’s fore arm, Health for all and safety!

I just went to my doctor and saw them sitting in the car and they took my blood sugar and it has dropped from a 7.4 to a 6.5! Yeah need a prayer to keep strong and keeping lowering it. And losing weight before my knee surgery.

Take care everyone!
Love you all!

Unfortunately, the doctor said he can tell by the symptoms that it is rotator cuff and 99% sure he will need to do a scope to clean out the bone spurs. The MRI is to rule out a tear. He just removed bone spurs from my DIL a week ago last Tuesday. She said she is doing great, and he told her her shoulder was one of the worst he had seen.

Q. Ladies, God does miracles every day. Prayer and a Humble heart...
Let me tell you about a miracle, just one of the many God has given me.
Six years ago I had a most difficult summer. I would go to the pens to feed and water the chickens. I honestly could not walk out there and back without stopping to rest. So out of breath. So after a week or so I went to my doctor. He said I needed an EKG. Then he said I needed a special heart test. So he made arrangements and a few days later I went back to spend the afternoon having tests run. The last doctor I saw that day was the heart doctor. She said I had to go to the big hospital in Ft. Worth. Why I asked...because you have multiple blockages and we must go in and put stints in the vessels around your heart.
She also told me that any pain could be a heart attack!
Now I was scared. I had to wait a couple of days to go to Ft. Worth.
Well...the night before the trip to the big hospital...we wound up in our own ER. They worked very quickly... And I had yet another EKG. I remember asking why they were asking me so many questions! I even said a person having a real heart attack might die trying to answer all of those questions... Then I went home. Next morning my son drove us to the hospital. I was prepped and given another EKG. #7...then I was given some light sedative as they put a needle in my wrist. But in just a few minutes my nurse was waking me...i asked why...he said we are finished. I asked about the stints. He said 'we did not use any'. "Why" 'because there is no blockage of any kind!' Then I said but I had 7 different envelope Ekgs in different places with different machines...then it dawned on me. And I became so excited."God gave me another miracle!" "He really did." Now mind you I was flat of my back. I had to remain flat for several hours.
They rolled me back out to the intake nurses. Once again I was saying to anyone and everyone..." God gave me a miracle".
I'm sure they were ready for me to go home when it was time.
But every nurse heard about how awesome God was that day!
I came home and sat in my recliner and Called my friends to tell them.
So Remember that God is still in the business of miracles. Ask Him to give you one too.

Prayers for our farmsisters. Thankfully our bodies are created to heal. It takes time but once we know what is going on we trust doctors can help to know the best way to heal.

I posted this in the August thread, but also would like to ask for prayers for upcoming rotator cuff surgery.

My doctor called after reading my MRI results this morning, and Yes, I do need to have rotator cuff surgery. He said I definitely have bone spurs that need to be removed, and there is some fluid on the cuff, which could mean a small tear. He should be able to do everything through the scope, even if there is a small tear, which he can't see because of the fluid. I am hoping that is all it is. He said I also have a little arthritis and bursitis in the shoulder. I am not looking forward to this. It will probably be around middle of September after we get back from Tennessee.
