:D YAY! Thank you girls for emailing me :)

I have Mr.Scarecrow's body done sans the arms..I never can seem to get in the mood for those until the end. He hair and hat are all finished and not onto his little overalls. :D
How are you girls coming along?
hugs

Jessie

I found a pattern for a doll. Its an old pattern from my great grand mothers sewing box. Its about 20 years old. Never been cut so I know all the pattern pieces are there. I have some fabric for the body all washed and ready to go. I need to dig deep in my stash for some fabric for the clothing. Do you think it could be a girl scarecrow?? Well maybe I should just see what it becomes as I sew along.

My body parts are all together. I started to stuff the head. But..since this is my first ever doll, I ran out of stuffings. I need to take a trip to the craft store or maybe walmart to pick some up.
The pattern wanted me to sew the eyes and face features. I chose to paint them.
I think Linda will like it!

Still needs hair, hands and feet...made of straw

I sewed the face on after stuffing. The body is muslin.
He is about 18 inches tall.

Too cute Linda! You are doing an adorable job! :D

I don't know whether to post a pic of my progress on my scarecrow guy or not. His one arms is evading me. Maybe tonight, it will cooperate. :)

HUGS!!

Linda, that doll you are making is wonderful!! I hope you are not disapointed in the one I am making you. Please remember, this is my very first fabric doll.

Well..here are a few photos of my little doll.

all the pieces are cut and ready to be sewn

head is on the body, but I dont have any more stuffing...I need to take a trip to the craft store of maybe walmart.

This is just a peek of its face. I painted the eyes and mouth

I still have lots of work to do. I have the clothing fabric ready. I need to cut it out and sew that together too. I am thinking that if everything works out the way I plan, I should be finished and ready to mail by the 18th or 19th.

Did we have partners posted? I didn't see it.
OK now I went back and figured it out.
There are only 4 of us and partners assigned from the beginning...good idea!

Ladies, and of course Linda, my doll is ready to be mailed. She is in the box and waiting for me to visit the Post Office.
I will be going tomorrow, Monday afternoon.
Linda, I hope you like what I have made.
I really had a lot of fun. I will mostlikely make another for myself.

Bev,
Your dolly went out on Saturday. He's coming 1-3 days so you should get him today, tomorrow, or the next! Hope he gets there safely and that you like him :D
