Melody...don't you love hand-knit wash clothes? I never get tired of making them.
I love to try new patterns all the time too. I found a pattern book that makes
larger washclothes than the standard size. Instead of casting on 34 to 35 stitches
this one uses 44 stitchess. The book is called Knifty Knit Dishclothes by Leisure Arts
and has 16 patterns. #3122

I suffer from a grand case of start-itis so I have more projects that perhaps I should on my knitting needles. My simple project is a sock. I've knit so many of them that I don't need to use a pattern. I have a slightly more difficult project going that is a Ruana (think a sweater but with the side not sewn up. That project is about 2/3's done. I've also got a shawl that I'm knitting out of my handspun. Its going along fairly well but the main body of it is a repeat of just two rows and is a bit boring to knit. I also spin my own yarn and weave but I don't have much going with either of those. I rejoined The Farmgirl Connection withthe hope of finding a bit of inspiration for my fiber arts again.

I just finished sewing a bunny rabbit doll that is 18" long and has a cute yellow satin dress to match her yellow sparkly inner ears and yellow button eyes. I made this for my granddaughter for her Easter basket.

Serious organization of storage of all the bias tapes, rick rack trims that I use for my apron making. Our son, Jeremy, was visiting and he helped me . . he's a neat freak anyway.
Boy is it nice to have that job done . . and neatly so!

CJ,
Thanks, think of you often. My daughter Laura Monroe's mom saw a pic of it on facebook and loves it. Can't wait for Easter so I can see the happy face on my granddaughter's face. It's nice that your son helped you witrh that big project. It took me a few hours none stop to straighten up my sewing stash. Talk to you later.

Just had to post these pics of my first bowl made from magazines, I'm so proud of it...I have to put on a clear coating and it will be finished. The first pic is what it looked like before I formed it into a bowl...I hope to put the how to's on my blog tomorrow.

GREAT BOWL!!! My daughter has one she bought and it's way cool!
I have lots of magazines but I have sooooooo many other projects going that they aren't calling me to make them into bowls.

Penny, I just read your blog earlier. Love the bowl. I've seen baskets at Hobby Lobby, and thought to myself, "I'm sure I could make that." Very neat.

Today I am finishing up a set of pot holders for a family member. We had snow yesterday and school was closed. I had extra helpers (although I am sure they hated it, he he!) at cleaning house. I will have extra "play" time today because of it.

I've already been to the gym, made 4 of us pumpkin oatmeal, and have dinner in the crock pot - yay! Gotta love days like today.

Have a blessed day!

The bowl is just awsome. Did you have a pattern you followed with instructions, etc.? Likewise, lots of mags that I could be putting to good use.
Beautiful scarf Peggy. Was it very hard to do?

Peggy, I made one of those scarfs too. I love it. However, it is a big big for me around my neck. I feel a bit claustrophobic so I may have to give it away as a gift. I don't like a lot around my neck or tight shoes on my feet.

Penny...I love your bowl. That is way cool! I will have to check it out on your blog.

Annie and Janet...it is only 8 stitches each row. They key is keeping that slippery lace
on your needles. I found after dropping it twice and having to start all over (because I
couldn't tell where my stitches were in all that lacy mess)to work it down low in my lap.
Not as easy to lose it all that way. I will definately do more now that I have one under
my belt. That first night...I was ready to throw it all in the trash. Insead I just put it
away until my frustration was all over with. Which was smart because I had no problems last
night.

Bunny...I usually don't like warm scarves because I am always sooo hot. But a friend made me one for Christmas and I really liked the light-weightness of it.

Love and Hugs,
peg

Peggy . . what a GORGEOUS SCARF!!! WOW!!!

I'm back to cutting out part 'n' pieces for aprons. I like to get a bunch all cut and ready to sew and then sit down and sew.
BTW: Peggy, I've started a box of scraps for you too . . .

Just finished crocheting an afghan from all my left over yarn. I had a big bag of yarns left over from other projects, so I just crocheted until I used them all up. Got that out of my way. Am trying to fisish some of my unfinished projects that are started and need to complete. Takes up so much room.

I just finished three more fairy doors. I am finding the clay way too addicting... I cannot put it down. Thanks everyone for sharing what you are working on. I always feel so inspired when I read everyone's comments.
