Does any else have a weak spot for these delicious cookies? They're a tradition over at my house!
I just shared the step-by-step recipe over at my blog:
http://amaidensmusings.plexpedia.com/view-9202

If you haven't yet, I encourage you to try these!
Enjoy!

~*~*~ Spritz Cookies ~*~*~

oven 400°

1 1/2 Cups Butter
1 Cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
3 1/2 Cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and Sugar. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until a slightly stiff, smooth dough forms.
Using a cookie press, press onto ungreased cookies sheets. Bake 7-8 minutes. Makes approx. 60.

I love spritz too - I can definitely overdo it too, so it's a good thing my dad makes them for us all every year. I can control myself if there is only one small bag in the house and I know I have to share!

My mother always made them at
Christmas, and then I made them for my family for years and years.
But gave away my cookie press this year to a mother with young
children.
Happy Holidays

When I was a girl, we made these every Christmas and our cookie press looked just like yours! Is it a Mirro? :-) I found one at an antique store and so I can continue the tradition. We always made stars, wreaths and camels. We loved the camels! :-)

Loved the pictures.
