I got a post card from Judith today, with the Dousman Mansion on the front, boy is that pretty and big and has a lot of windows in front.
I didn't realize you were that close to Wisconsin.

Jenny--Would love to have some of your New Jersey tomatoes!
Linda--Mt. Rainier is beautiful. I was able to go out west and see it. It is absolutely gorgeous!!
Marlene--How special the people are to live in the bayou. Don't think I would care for it. Too many critters to surprise a person. lol.
Karla-- The beach looks so inviting. So soothing!
Judith--I just read a book about the Trail of Tears. Was surprised to read that Chief Sequoyah invented a written language for the Cherokees and then translated the Bible into their language and they printed thousands of Bibles for his people. Somehow I missed that in history class.

Brenda, do you think our school history books were slightly biased back when? I think they are becoming more honest. Its harder to leave some things out of our lessons when because of technology some topics are just common knowledge today. I love reading historical books now!

I got 3 new post cards since yesterday, I just love them and will put them in my album, I love this swap!
I got a great Recipe post card from Jenne from Pennsylvania Dutch Country where she lives, It looks tasty.
One from Becky with a photo of crocheted sea creatures, how cute! It really would be neat to see that in person, such detail in there.
And one from RoDonna, with a fountain on the front in front of a beautiful building.

1. Karla, for the beautiful Florida birds & wildlife card.
2. Diana for the unique Idaho card with funny state laws.
3. Jenne, for her PA Dutch potato salad recipe card. Going to try it!
4. Becky for her Sunken Gardens "crocheted and knitted "sea creatures"
card. (lots of work put into those)
5. Rodonna, for her historic Shelbyville Fountain landmark card.
6. Judith for her picturesque card of the state falls park in Wisconsin
can see why you enjoyed hiking there and the falls and covered
bridge are so scenic.
Thanks ladies! So much fun to keep receiving the cards at
different times throughout the summer

I love the post card I received to day from Diana in Idaho, there are some very interesting laws up there especially the one where Residents may not fish from a giraffe's back, :D

A long overdue Thank you to the following for the really great post cards.
1. CeeJay I lived in OK for a short time with the Ozarks around me, your card reminded me how beautiful the mountains are.
2. Darlene very nice picture of the Empire State Building, I have never been there.
3. Joyce a nice "hello" from Canada.
4. Linda I really like the sculpture "Locals" very warm and inviting.
5. Sharron I love historic sites, thanks.
6. Jenny you made my day with your message, thank you for the laugh.
7. Kristi your card with the great paddle boats I hope to one day take a ride on.
8. Marlene great card with scenes of Louisiana.
9. Judith I love Civil War sites, I had never seen this old fort, thank you.
10. Jenne what a beautiful scene of Pennsylvania.
11. Rodonna the fountain is pretty and I enjoyed the history behind it.
12. Diana thank you for the card with some of your state laws on it. I will make sure not to fish from a giraffe's back if I ever visit your state. LOL
