I was there in spirit! I saw a picture of a Tipi (inside and out) on-line and pretended I was camping in it. Oh, and I did go downstairs to my basement where the temperature is only 51 degrees. But I didn't stay down there--too many creepy-crawlies!

Cindy,
Well, glamping is an attitude, a state of mind . . . so I think anything counts for a "camp-in".

Hay there,

Ya'll are SOOOOO fun!!! Thanks for the "adventure"! Plan on joining me next year on the first weekend of February for the 2nd Annual MJF CAMP-IN. Put on your thinking caps and make notes on your January 2017 datebooks for preparations for February 2017 CAMP-IN. Lets make it a fun time and bring your friends on board....share the fun!!! Lots of love to you all. That's the SPIRIT !!!

When my life was consumed by a daycare, working 12-14 hours a day, as the director, I ran away one morning. It was a cool drizzly spring day and MJF was calling to me. I had read the magazine's and the books. I knew part of me was missing. I was torn between doing God's work and caring for myself. Finally we (He and I) agreed I needed a break. So about 9:00am, after the teachers, cook and kids were all safely in their places, I came home. I made a pot of tea, grabbed a MJF magazine, a quilt and sat on the porch in a rocker for 45 minutes. Then I returned to work, just in time to check in on each group as they said their blessings before going to lunch. I never told anyone where I had been, I suppose they thought I was on a Wal-Mart run. But I did thank God for my "mental health" break. After that, when I was inside and the weather was nice or drizzly...I had a smile about the day I ran away. It was just what I needed.
