Can't wait to see what it is, Jenn!
I finished another UFO. I finally got around to sewing and filling some rice bags. I initially had plans to make 4, but when I seen how large the one is I decided it was large enough that there was no need for a second that size.

I have a finish and pictures.
This is a doll blanket I promised to one of my students. It is actually pink and blue.
Here are pictures of a couple other things I have finished.
Reclaimed yarn.
The Christmas Stocking I made for the swap.

I'm a little late, but I finished another block set. At least it's all good to go for next year!

I got this done in February and didn't get a picture posted. It's from the Farm Girl Vintage book. Now I just have 2 quilts left to do the quilting on, both are all layered and ready to go! Then they can be crossed off of the UFO list!!!

I am embarking on a multi-part UFO - my email inbox. Everyday when I open my inbox, I delete all the messages I do not want to read or junk them entirely. This is most of the new email. I then read all the Farmgirl email and the messages from the neighborhood site. Next, unfortunately, I open the Club Pogo email to see if I won anything (which I never do) and see what daily games are available for some quick play and this could last for hours. I know, cyber-addiction.
So, yesterday I went through the entire list of messages stretching from the present to October 2015 deleting, pinning and flagging anything I saw which needed such treatment. I now have 292 unprocessed emails. This I wish to count as step one on this particular journey. My next goal is to get down to only two year's worth of unprocessed email. This will be difficult because I have neglected to read many of the newsletters I subscribe to including, sadly, Mary Jane's Sister Issue.
How does everyone feel about my strategy of taking this in steps and marking each as a completed UFO.

Marie, I think that is a great idea! I think it would take me a long time to get through all of that reading! One step at a time will get you there! Good luck!

Marie I need to do this too. I currently have 1916 unread emails. Every once in while I spend some time deleting, but really I need to unsubscribe from more lists as it is completely unrealistic to read so much email.
I got 3 pieces of mending completed on the weekend. A start in the fairly large pile. I've got a friend coming to help me clean out my craft storage room. She seems quite excited about doing it. :) I doubt we can finish in one afternoon, but you never know.
Debbie, I love the quilt, it's beautiful.

Woof! I thought I had a lot of unprocessed email! This is a worthy UFO. Unsubscribing and deleting seems like a good start. Let us know how many emails you have after doing that.

Greetings: Debbie, the quilt is beautiful!!! Regarding the e-mail chatter, oh my, even though I don't have mega e-mails in the "in box", I am on a mission to get the "in box" almost empty a little every sign-in. I have decided that technology is steeling precious time to sew, read, finish organizing the house and gardening. Plus, it isn't good for our health! I understand that technology is part of how we function, but I am truly limiting my time in front of a screen! Hoping Spring is around the corner, but as for today in NY, it is snowing again! Hope not to see the plow again today!

Oh my goodness Jill! That's a lot of unread emails! I would definitely say that is a big task and worthy of UFO credit! Good luck to you and Marie with cleaning out your inboxes!

Gae, I agree with you! Technology is a good and bad thing. I look back to when I was in my 20s and 30s when my kids were young and how much I used to get done! Sewing, reading, crocheting...no computer time. I've been making a big effort to minimize my time on the computer/ipad and get back to what I love to do.

Debbie, I agree with you. Life has definitely changed. Many people now days spend so many hours with technology that they never spend time doing anything else. I love that I am not consumed with technology because I feel like I accomplish so much more in a day. I just love staying busy!

Debbie-I keep in mind how much sewing and/or reading I can accomplish instead of reading e-mails and news that just repeats itself! Now that spring is trying hard to arrive, I'll want more time outside as well. Truly limit my computer time, make sure I don't even sign on for a day or two during the week. My eyes are very thankful too!
Wishing everyone a great day! Gae Farmgirl #7534 |

As of this very moment, my email inbox has 0 unread emails!!!!! I was up to 2000. I had to work in our flower shop this week and decided to spend time between customers clearing out all those emails. It was amazingly satisfying!! I created new folders and deleted tons. :)
