Oh my gosh! I went into Walmart to pick up some more photo sheets,,, and hit the market and stock up for the weekend...
I pushed my cart out the door and this is what I was greeted with!

Seriously?? surely I wasn't in Walmart that long... or was I?

Wow!! That's an amazing sight to see if there was no snow before entering, kind of like the Twilight Zone. Lol!

On the way home... I took all the back roads and stayed off the hi-ways...
which was a good thing, because, unbeknownst to me there was a 60+ car pile up on the main hi-way as well as traffic backed up all the way to the Air Force Base down the road from where I live.
AND
tomorrow we are expecting winds in the 40-45mph between us all the way over to Idaho(Panhandle)... oh joy!

Grace...I saw that there was a 50 car pile up on the Sunset Hill too!! Good Grief that is Spokane for you in the Winter. When I lived there we always pretty much just expected SNOW the week of Thanksgiving.
So put that info in your Bonnet and remember it for future years. Thanksgiving week equals Snow! LOL We have gotten it up in the Mountains but nothing down here on the Valley Floor. I'm good with it staying
in the Mountains. LOL

Happy Thanksgiving Tomorrow Farmgirls...

Love, Hugs, and Blessings,
Peggy

Grace--this looks horrid and must have been really heavy and nasty. I would have been scared to death as I am a cowardly driver for sure. Glad you got home safe---and by golly gee as Sarah Palin says---or course you weren't in WalMart that long---who can stay in there very long---as a true hater of Walmart and Sam's Club because my husband has worked both places---I believe their greeter should say---get your stuff and get out---which is what I do when I am forced to go in there once a month to get dog treats and make-up. They are the evil empire in my book. But they are a necessary evil. A beautiful day in the 60's here with sunshine galore---just very strong wind. Rock on Grace and love your posts. You are so interesting for sure.

Oh my Grace! How long were you in Walmart?? LOL. If you are like me you can go in for one thing and come out with a cartload.
It is pretty though. Haven't had any here yet!

Ladies---glad a few people like Walmart. So many people I know hate to go in there. Mostly I hate how unfair they are to their workers. If I didn't know that I wouldn't hate them so badly.

Grace, I totally understand where you are coming from! We have been getting pounded with snow here. In the last 2 days I would say we have gotten about 18 inches. I am absolutely loving it. Snow makes everything feel more like Christmas time! My kids have been enjoying it so much too. The only thing I hate is shoveling. It's been some heavy snow for shoveling.

Krista... I agree, "it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas "...
The only scary part about driving in snow is not knowing if there is a layer of ice under the snow or when we get a sudden 'white out', making it hard to see a couple of feet in front of you.
The Walmart in Airway Heights supports 3 small towns and about 3-4 even smaller farming communities. Which for us makes it convient to not have to drive all the way into Spokane.

I did manage to get all(most all of) my Christmas decorations up. Now to get caught up on other projects.

Oh, and we got some snow this evening.... any of you Florida or Texas gals want some? Lol!

These are such cute shovelers and it looks like they are really doing some good work. Your neighborhood looks pretty---a nice place for children. We had just enough snow to coat the trees all pretty. I saw how bad it was out west.

OK,, so, I had to run into town,, and Walmart was one of my stops.. It was dry when I walked in,, hour later when I exited,, it had rained! maybe it's just me... lol!

Krista,, we hit a cold dry spell,, with rain coming in but the next round of snow is not until next week.. in the mean timw most ot the snow here is melted.. It's kinda weird,, because we usually have a lot of snow right after Turkey Day...

We have about 4 covey of Quail, waiting for my DH every morning.. he takes Ginger for her walkie,, and hubby puts out seed feed for the quail and dove... they are not afraid of him,,,,,

Grace---I think the Lord is telling you to stay out of Walmart because they are truly the evil empire---LOL. I shop local groceries and Dollar General to keep them in check. Rock on GIRL. Each to his own---but Walmart is EVIL.
