I live on a main hwy in my small rural Mississippi town. I am fairly well know because I am very active in the community. I have been seen on numerous occasions in my pajamas and new muck boots. One of the on-lookers made a comment to my husband at the feed store. He laughed and told the man I was starting a new "farmgirl" movement! I am new to all this but I have always had an affinity for aprons and workboots. Thanks all for sharing. I don't feel so strange now and am among like minded women!

These are some awesome stories. I thought 1badmamawolf was the clear winner until reading the llama lady's story! I horse camp and frequently have my horses on a highline. If a horse can get in trouble, a lot of times it will so I have learned to keep sweats, boots and a jacket handy along with a flashlight in case I need to rescue one of them. I have surprized folks in the dark with my "white legs" (just silk long johns for sleeping).

I have to say all these stories are just so much fun to read! It made my day to know I am not the only one with an occasional fashion statement. Last summer my husband had to be admitted to the hospital. The "lawn" needed mowing. I wasn't able to get the riding mower to run so had to try and mow about 5 acres by hand. It was blazing hot out and being blessed with red hair and pale skin, I really had to cover up! Pressed for time, I put on my old jeans, a long sleeve work shirt of my husbands, my big brimmed garden hat with blue flowers and a ribbion tie, fire boots, enough sun block to look like I had white paint over my face/neck, flowered garden gloves, and my husbands construction eye wear. Horrible sight! It wasn't 15 minutes after I got started that a big car accident happened on the road in front of my house. I'm a nurse. Not thinking, I ran the two acres to get to the road and started working the accident. I don't know what frightened the drivers more... me or the accident. I agree with the calendar idea. I know I would buy a few! Great idea Kayce!
