I love cowboy boots. They are my favorite shoe of any to wear. I have a pair of red boots that I absolutely love.
How many pair of cowboy boots do you have? I have one pair of cowboy boots, and probably three of regular boots.

I have one pair. I bought them last year but never wear them because they are slippery, I nearly fall every time I wear them out shopping or anywhere. I did just have new heel pads put on, at a local shoe repair, but with the snow, I'm still nervous that the wet ground will make it worse lol
When I bought them I was debating between two pair, and my husband liked this pair better, they are fancier than the others that I was looking at.
I am hopefully going to get another, more sensible, pair soon.

Hi Marly :) I love my boots, I now have 4 pairs & counting ;) One pair are vintage & they too are slippery like Jessica's so I am having taps put on them, I think that is what they call them ??? Well, I just LOVE my boots :)

Oh, oh, oh, Diane, pink boots. Who had those pink boots????? I absolutely love them. What size are those boots? I'm going to dream about those boots tonight.

Hi Marly :) My one pair of boots have deep rose trim but not light pink. I do not think I could pull off a light pink boot LOL My one pair is very light tan with embroidered flowers. If I get a chance I will take pictures ;)

I love, love, love cowboy boots but can't wear them very often anymore due to a neuroma in my left foot. In the past I have worn three pairs of cowboy boots out through two or three sets of resoles until they were plum worn out. Now I have one pair of dressy Ostrich skin boots that I still wear with a skirt. I also have two pairs of hiking boots (Keen's) and one pair of rubber boots for work that I wear constantly. I'm not much of a shoe person, so my go-to footwear are always a comfy pair of sturdy boots:
CJ...I love that picture.....the boots with the sunflowers on them would be right up my alley! Madeline I love your brown sunburst boots, too!

Madeline: I really, really like the pink and tan boots. I could wear those to church.
Sheila: Like you, I wear my boots "in all kinds of weather/situations", I even wear them in the summer with shorts. I get the look from neighbors who think I have no style. I just smile.
Marilyn: I'm not a shoe person at all. Oh, those flowered boots on the Sundance site are something else!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one pair of cowboy boots, my second pair after I wore out the others. At 62 I sometimes wonder if others think I look funny (it is Florida, and I am not a spring chicken) but I wear them anyway. Love cowboy boots more than any other kind of boot. Got mine in North Georgia at a boot shop in Clayton.

Shirley Jean: Another boot fan! I'm fast approaching your age, and I can tell you, I will still be wearing my boots. Others can look and wonder all they want to, but I'll be happy and smiling in my boots. Make me think of that move, "Second Hand Lions", they went out with their boots on! I loved that movie.

This thread is really making me miss my old boots (sky blue and slouchy; wore them all the way through college). I wonder if the Mister would get off his fashion high horse long enough to let me get some new ones?

The pink boots in the photo are being worn by non other than Meg, MaryJane's daughter. That picture was taken at MJF B & B last summer during the Farmgirls on the Loose Women of the Wild West trip!

I have 2 pair-light brown and black with a crinkled top. I've been very bad though. I haven't conditioned them like I should and now they're too small to wear socks with. I've got to get a couple of shoe stretchers, stretch them out and put the leather new to them (may over stuff with newspaper. don't know yet). The sad thing about cowboy boots and my feet are that my arches are so high and my feet are so wide that I have to wear men's sizes. No pink ones for these size 10 feet.

Diane, I want those pink boots Meg is wearing!!!!!!!!!! Wonder what size they are.....Size 10, I think boots are made for that size.

Hi Marly :) I put a link on my last post. There are pink boots that look exactly like those pictured in Diane's post, on sale at Sheplers for 59.00 & they have alot of sizes, I believe they are leather as well ;) Just click on the link & scroll down, there are also darker pink as well as lavender, turquoise, red ;)

| I too love my boots. Have three pair - one for everyday wear, the other two are more fancy and are for going out to parades, special events, and fun times in our area, especially in the summer. Of course everybody is a cowboy out here anyway, so it's just a given you dress like one. And the more beat up the boots the better. Same for your hats and jeans. Was at the regional stock show in Rapid City on Monday and you would have died just seeing all the pretty boots they had for sale. Found a blue pair that I'll see about getting later if they go on sale. Love, love, love boots! |

| I have a funny story about my boots. Many many moons ago I was I high school . My family didn't have much money so we didn't ask for much. But my birthday was coming up and I was going to take my birthday money and buy some boots. Well my mom and dad got me a pair of boots . I was so proud I don't know where they got the money but they did. They where Justin . I wear them to school so proud . I put my feet up on the desk so everyone could see them. The boy across the room said nice boots where did you get them? I said for my birthday they cost alot my mom and dad must really love me as I laughed. The girl in front of me said because they spent $5.99 on you. I got mad and went to tell her off . When she said well that's what i wrote on the bottom of your boots. After my face wasn't red I looked she was right. My mom got them at a repair store someone droped them off and never came back. I wear them every day for two years I sure got my money worth out of them |
