Oh Shannon I am sorry, Are they giving you something that can help? at least the anemia?
It is great that Luke got the football, that is awesome.
Is Emi underweight because she got burnt? or other things?
I will sure put Brad in my prayers for travels to Wyoming and finding the right property. Where in Wyoming is he looking
You will all be in my prayers for peace, comfort and healing as well.

Blessings and hugs

Shannon do you have any idea what is causing the anemia? Heavy periods kept me that way all through my twenties. The last time it was a big tumor. Raisins help build blood, but I take a Tablespoon of Grandma's Molasses every day , when I need it and it gets better. With your family you need to be 100% or close to it. Anemia makes you drag.

Marilyn. Praising God with you on Hadley's Baptism! I will also be praying for the grandparents that lost their sweet little girl! I also pray for her parents and the Nanny. I cannot even imagine what they are all going through.
Shannon, Praying for you and your family as well. Healing for you, and that Brad will find the perfect farm/land for your family.
Thankful that God hears and answers our prayers.

Marilyn - love love love the quilts!

As for my health...l I am on liver pills as Vitamin D pills right now, as well as drinking bone broth and nettle infusions. As for why... Good question! Part of it is having seven babies in 12 years, not to mention my surgery for my adrenal gland. But it also looks like I may have Crohns Disease which is causing issues. I don't generally get any cycles right now... I exclusively nurse for the first year of a child's life and then continue through the second year until they self weane (they eat solids that second year as well). It is during that second year that my cycle comes back... And I end up pregnant again. We are praying how to handle this, as we strongly believe that God opened my womb and He will close it... But it is causing me health issues or I am not taking care of myself well enough in between.

As for Emi... It was not she that was burnt, but rather my two year old, Aly (who is doing fabulous by the way!). We are not sure why Emi is underweight. I wonder if it possibly has to do with me being anemic or if she might have a dairy allergy. Once I get her established on beef bone broth (which she is on now - it is high in iron as well as being good for gut healing), I will reevaluate where she is, and possibly look at eliminating dairy from my diet, and therefore hers, to see if that helps. We know for certain she is well hydrated, so it is not an issue of her getting enough breastmilk. The doctor will not run tests on my milk to check calories or nutrients, so I am trying to figure that one out on my own. For me to get the testing done, it is about $400. So we are trying other things first to try to "fix" my milk and her gut :)

I talked with Brad a little bit earlier. One of the houses is definitely crossed off our list. It is a "hot mess" and would take a month plus to sanitize it in order to make it livable... Not sure what all he and the realtor meant by that, but I am sure I will hear more soon. Another one of the properties is on 40 acres, but has covenants!?!? Including how many livestock you can have! The third house is a lot more house than we need, though it is apparently absolutely gorgeous! It sounds lively, but I would rather a more modest home and put our funds into the homesteading part of it! We will see what comes out of this trip :)

They are so in the wrong place, I was just looking for them and decided they did not load. Oh my goodness.
My oldest granddaughter will be 19 in a couple of weeks, she is tall, 5' 10" and only weighs about 100#. She was a thin baby. Her mom went on a diet as soon as she was born, even though I told her she would lose every ounce she had gained. Poor baby started on low fat milk. At age two the doctor ordered Pedia Sure(sp) every day. Finally she had a bit of fullness in her cheeks. I was a skinny kid, as we're both her parents.
What part of Wyoming are you looking in, southern or northern?

Beautiful Quilts there Marilyn.
Shannon Living in California I am guessing the house that is a "hot mess" has been used for growing pot and or making meth. that would be dangerous for you all and expensive to clean up. Yes what part of Wyoming is he looking in.
Shannon I will keep you all in my prayers that you will be able to get things figured out and the doctors will decide they want to do what they are supposed to do. Be a doctor.
You take care the best you can, my prayers go with your family in all ways.

Blessings

I have an urgent prayer request for you guys... A few months ago, I requested prayers for Blake... At the time he was a newborn with multiple issues and ended up having to get a colostomy bag because he had no anus. Now three months old, Blake needs your prayers again! Yesterday he started having seizures and turning blue! After multiple seizures in the ER, they finally got him stable enough to take to the children's hospital. They are thinking he may have meningitis. They did the spinal tap last night, and as of yet, I have not heard the results.

As for where we are looking to move - we would like to stay in the northeast part of Wyoming. We are looking in Crook, Weston, and Campbell counties. The house we would like is a "short sale" so not sure how that is going to work! Rumor has it, it could take six to twelve months to close, and we simply do not have that much time! We figure if that is where God wants us to be, He will make a way!

Oh no, I will remember little Blake in my prayers. Your kids will have big snowmen and forts to build next winter. Such fun. Little Luke and his family are at home for a bit. Hopefully he will be OK...not needing more extended time in the hospital.

Shannon, I will put Blake in my prayers that it isn't Meningitis or it can be healed right away. Poor little guy, such a hard life so far for him.
I do hope you get the house you are looking for. Is that area close to Yellowstone? I don't know much about that part of Wyoming, we always went the Cheyenne route when we drove to CA. Prayers that your housing works out for you soon.

Take care and Blessings

I just heard from my cousin about Blake... After numerous tests, he has been diagnosed with lissencephaly... also known as smooth brain syndrome. It is terminal. Most children do not live past the age of ten. His is so severe that he will probably never get past 3 to 5 months old developmentally... he is three months old now.

I honestly do not think I can say anything else about it as I have hit the point where I am just not thinking straight. Please please please pray for this baby and his family!

Blessing little one!

I have beeb reading all of these posts under this topic to catch up and I am sorry to hear about little Blake's condition. I am joining all the others here in sending prayers to the family for these uncertain times.

Shannon, I am sorry to hear that your health has not been good and I am sending prayers that you and Emi will get on the better side of health very soon! It is exciting to hear about the impending move to Wyoming. Hopefully the uncertainty of the Summer housing will sort itself out soon and you will have a plan for how to plan and prepare for the big change. Leaving the military and starting a homestead is going to be very exciting and I know you have many ideas and plans for this next phase of your family life. I hope the house hunts produces something promising soon!

I can hardly believe that this weekend is Memorial Day! Summer is officially happening and it seems like yesterday we were putting away Christmas decorations!

Many prayers...

Ladies, my grandma is in the hospital again. And to top it off, my dad took my grandpa in tonight. He has been having severe hip pain. The doctors want my grandma to be transported to an Indianapolis hospital to see a specialist about a procedure to separate her trachea and aorta, which fused together. It's highly risky, but her lack of air is not improving.

Also, our friend's baby, Baby Sawyer, was air lifted back to Indy today and isn't very well at all. Praises that he got to celebrate his first birthday.

My husband's step-mom, who has cirrhosis of the liver was, additionally, diagnosed with liver cancer last week. She has about 6 months and has been moved to the top of the transplant list. If, however, the cancer spreads at all, they feel there is no hope.

And finally, Matt (my husband) has been having severe back pain. I am scared for him....

Many Blessings- Alicia #5232

Alicia, oh I ma sorry your all going through this. I will put your grandma, your grandpa, your husband's step mom, your husband and Baby Sawyer in my prayers. Lord be with them all!
