In need of prayers ladies. I got a call that an ambulance took JT to the ER. We just got here. It takes an hour from our place. Seems he has done something to his hand possibly going to need stitches and a broken. No hand means no work time. My brother in law is driving from NY to help with working the jobs JT has lined up. Prayers traveling for my brother in law. He is 8 hours away.

Update, we are home from the hospital. Not the worst case but not the best. They had to take part of his left index finger. He is having a lot of pain. They will see him a week from Tuesday at the surgeon's office closer to home. Grateful that my son in law was with him.

Thank you all. Appreciate your prayers for continued healing. Not much sleep was happening last night for any of us. My daughter decided to stay over. Made her feel better. He is still having a lot of pain. Antibiotics, Tylenol and ibuprofen because he didn't want anything stronger. He is trying to get some sleep right now so prayers for him to get good rest also.

Linda, he installs security gate operators. He was grinding down some bolts with a hand held and when he stopping the machine there must have been a flaw in the disc because it exploded. He was wearing a face type helmet thankfully but a piece of the disc hit his finger. Normally he works alone. So very glad my son in law happen to be working there with him.

Denise, when something like that happens, and someone is with the injured one, but usually is not there...It is a God thing.
When my son was in high school, my mother's guy friend, she was a widow, called me and said she was having surgery to set her broken ankle the next morning. All news to me. She had not wanted to bother me. But I got a sub and drove the 40+ miles to the hospital. She had the best of the best orthopaedic surgeon in the area. But after a bit, he burst into the waiting area...very frazzled. He said he could not operate because she had gone into shock. Something about the ice cold OR.
This was way before cell phones. So I asked for a pay phone to call my sister. None was avaliable. But they allowed me to use a office phone to call my sister at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where she worked. In about three hours we had mother placed into the back seat(with lots of pillows and blankets) of a big old car my sister had borrowed to come for her, and off they went to the big city hospital.
I know it was a God thing! And it all turned out good.

Thank you all. He did have a better night. Still up but the stretches of sleep were much longer. I suppose the pain will be around for a while yet. We were heading to Ohio to see the youngest for his first birthday but they were gracious to postpone the party until after JT goes to his follow up with the specialist. They actually suggested the postponement and the other set of grandparents were free to change to accommodate. Very thankful for all those who have been encouraging and helping and praying.

He was able to shower last evening but we had to cover it so it wouldn't get wet. It was a bit of a challenge he said but it was fine. He woke in the night with an extreme amount of pain. Not sure why. He said it was the worst pain he has experienced since coming home so it must had been bad. The antibiotics have some uncomfortable side effects but he is managing even so.
So grateful for you all and your prayers. They are getting us through. He has six cousins and now four of them have been through this type of thing. They all grew up together. It is such a weird coincidence. He has been talking to the one he knew had been through it and he has been a big help to him. Grateful he has someone to talk to about it. He tells me but also knows I can't take the details.

We have an appointment with specialist on the 15th. They will remove stitches I believe. My bil finally made it last night. He will stay till Friday after work. My son in law with take the following week and Dave will be back the third week. I think JT is realizing it will take some time to recover and work through all of this. So appreciative of all of you and your prayers. Some friends from church stopped yesterday which seem to boost his spirit a bit.
