They say "Life is fragile, handle it with prayer."
my son just told me that a 'neighbor lady died at age 70. She had breast cancer several years ago...and it had been a problem ever since. Her daughter lost her husband, about four years ago, to cancer.
Prayers work.

Good morning farmgirl sisters, Just a little update on me. The chemo treatments did not work, they made me soo weak, mouth so sore I could hardly eat or drink, plus the tumors kept growing. So now they have put me on Immunotherapy which I have every three weeks. I have had one treatment (infusion) which only takes about 40 minutes as opposed to 3 hours in clinic, then a pump for 48 hours that I came home with)! So far I have had no issues with this treatment, for which I Praise the Lord! I have energy, can eat and drink (with the help of pancreatic enzymes). I have my next treatment this coming Monday at 10:40. We have had lots of company, which I absolutely love, keeps my life as normal as possible and I love being surrounded by family and friends :)! Last treatment I was given a homemade quilt made by our local quilt guild! Actually all the patients that day received a beautiful homemade quilt - what a blessing those quilters were to all of us! So thankful for your prayers, cards, text messages, emails, facebook posts. Y'all are the best. I love you all

Ruth -

Prayers the immunotherapy continues working and you are able to eat and this shrinks the tumors. SO sorry that chemo didn't work for you.

An update on my radiation treatments: 10 down and 10 more to go. I'm starting to experience the side effects they told me might/would happen. The main site on my nose and right cheek is getting redder every day, my nose is getting dryer inside, and my gums in the area of the radiation are also dry and rough. I have been faithfully using two creams on my nose and one cream and ocean saline spray inside my nose ever since the first treatment, and now I have a prescription mouthwash for my mouth. So far I have no pain from the redness, but then again, my nose is still numb where the dermatologist did the surgery. I've asked Ed to keep an eye on my nose (LOL) since I don't feel anything. Thank you, everyone, for the continued prayers.

Well Linda you should be finished with your radiation treatments early next week. How are you doing. Are you still thinking about the house you told us about? Or have you bought it?

My treatments will be done on Tuesday - thank goodness. I have 3 more to go! Yesterday Ed had to call and cancel my treatment because I had bad vertigo and it caused me to have dry heaves. I went back to bed and slept until 1 PM and then stayed in bed until about 7 when I moved to the couch. I have some of the side effects - my nose is red and my cheeks are rosy (sounds like Santa Claus, eh? LOL), but the worst part is that my upper gums have turned white in spots and tender in other spots. The Magic Mouthwash (with Lidocaine) and salt-and-soda-water don't really help heal that. It will be about 2 weeks after the treatments end before all the redness is gone. I can't wait until this is all behind me. Thank you for all the prayers.

Linda so glad to hear you almost done. My sister had trouble with dry mouth. She had the radiation on her neck and had to have most of her back teeth removed on that side. Not sure why though.

Yes indeed Linda. You get our prayers. I'm sorry about the vertigo. My hubby used to have it and so did my friend. I see you still have your sense of humor. That is good.

I received a card from Darlene today. She said, " please tell everyone I love them all, I miss them and thank you."
She still had not had the knee surgery, When she wrote her note, but hoped it would be soon.
She also said she needs to get stronger so she can go home,( after her knee is like new again of course.).

Hi everyone, first I want to say I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
It has been a very trying times for so many of us.
First my Aunt Yvonne who just passed away yesterday morning from AlS. It had been a very hard year please keep her family in your prayers.
Second my brother is doing better he has trouble with his legs. He is in a nursing home. Which he doesn't mind to much. He is being taken good care of.
And my sister she is doing good she will have her bone marrow transplant in a couple of weeks. Hopefully this will help so much. She is ready for it to be done.
Terry and I are doing pretty well. They only thing that bothers me is my knees and this cold weather isn't helping , but I feel good. Terry is doing better it seems, not great yet but so much better.
Our 35th wedding anniv. was yesterday, where did the time go. When we married we sang "I Got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher. Our families thought it was hilarious. Now we can't remember the words. Ha.LOL.
Well that is the update so far. But I want to thank everyone for all their thoughts and prayers. It helps so much and I am thinking of you all every much.
