Thank You everyone. Surgery went well, I start radiation Monday. Boy they sure don’t waste time, makes you feel like you are in a whirlwind. For the most part I feel pretty good. Still really tired, probably a bit of residue from the anesthesia. I had doctors appointments yesterday but plan on spending today on the couch just resting. I have a stack of new books next to me that I am looking forward to reading. Let the healing begin, gardening season is coming up soon and I have to be ready.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Julie, I am so glad you are doing well and recovering. A stack of good books sounds like just the thing to rest and help the healing continue. Good luck as you enter phase two of your treatment as radiation beings next week. Thanks for checking in and I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Prayers for my Lily June. She is having a hard time adapting to her new school, her preschool was small. She has cried almost every day. They have to wear masks, eat in their classroom, they cant play together! They have those plastic shields in front of their desk. They said, In August they hope to be back more to normal, If it were my decision, I would take her out till August and do online classes. I just pray. Only 30% of the students and teachers came back. Everyone has to return in August 2021.
Thanks and Hugs

I have no comment on what they do at the schools now days.

Hugs Prayers and love to Connie and for Lily June.

Connie, that is heartbreaking. I agree with you and Darlene. Our 3 grandsons are staying home through the rest of the school year...and they aren't sure about next year yet. Adjusting to school is hard enough without masks, etc. And they can't even play together??? I will keep you all in my prayers.

My daughter Angelina is asking prayers for her bosses in laws, Her request is below.

"Prayers requested for my boss's mother in law. TokHwa's husband's mom has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and it's not looking good. They're understandably taking it pretty hard and are asking for lots of thoughts and prayers to be sent their way. As you're the biggest prayer I know, I told her I'd ask you to send some as well." Miracles happen all the time.

Thank you
Darlene

Prayers and lots are needed tonight. I will add miss lily June, and her parents. My Had had to suffer through a wicked, mean spirited first grade teacher. During those first 21 days of school, each and every afternoon when I picked her up. ..she had no happiness to report, only anger toward that mean woman. The second day, she told me that I was always so good with kids, but some people did not have a clue! Julie knew that several kids were taken out of the class, to be home schooled or put in another classroom. But Julie was afraid that Had would want to change every year if she gave in. Had was so smart...smarter than that 'teacher'.
Julie and I began taking turns going to sit with her at lunch time. Even the lunch room ladies were not nice either. Something was wrong! About once a month I would take her some chicken, etc. From her favorite place. I could not believe a teacher could be so ugly. But she was the worst! In fact when Hadlee saw her out in town...Had would throw up!
Darlene, prayers for your daughter's request too.
Prayers for all of our mjf friends.

Yes Prayers for all! Yes some teachers should never teach little ones who are hungry to learn and encouraged.
I know how that is too.

Praying.

Connie,
Praying for your sweet little Lily June.
My granddaughters have been in school for the most part except at the beginning. They have to wear masks but they don't have to have the shields around the desks and I think they are able to interact with the other children. Not all of their class has returned but the only real restriction I know of is the mask wearing which is done due to not being able to do the 6 ft thing. Of course that was the original reason for masking up. It was either 6 ft distance or masking in situations where that was not possible.

Darlene,
Will add your request as well!

Denise~~

So many prayers needed for our often upside down life during a pandemic. Our little ones, older folk, and those in between have found themselves in challenging situations for which they had no preparation for navigating the challenges. Prayers for sweet Lily June as she tries to understand what is happening. It must feel so strange and scary to her. Hopefully her teacher can help her and any other children feel safe and welcomed despite how weird it all might feel.

Adding my prayers to all of you here and those you know who have special needs at this time.

I am lifting Lily June up in prayer. I feel so bad for all the children out there going through these ugly things they don’t understand. Daily I feel blessed to live where I do. My grands have been in school since August, they started out wearing masks and social distancing but since January they are back to normal. No masks, all extra curricular activities going strong and everything pretty much back to normal.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.
