Since our Day of Prayer is less than a month away...I think it would be a good idea for all of us to begin putting a list together of what we need to pray about...there really is so many needs in our world and here on the farm...hope everyone is having a wonderful week...

I know the RAOK is supposed to be in October - and I will do more - but I was having lunch with my mother in law a week ago and she was telling me she wanted to decorate for fall this year but her husband wasn't thinking when he put the Christmas stuff away and stuck it all in front of the fall stuff. She said she didn't want to deal with it so she just wasn't going to decorate. So, a couple days later she went to work and I went to her basement, dug out all the fall stuff, and decorated her house for her. She loved it and I felt good for making her so happy! It's always wonderful when you can bring happiness to others :)

Hey Girls!
Just a little over a week until our Farm Girl Day of Prayer...please make sure to mark it on your calendar and if you know what you are going to do for or have already done your Random Act of Kindness please post here...
I plan on giving to the Franklin Graham Ministries(son of Billy Graham)Samaritan's Purse...the part of the ministry I am giving to is called "Operation Christmas Child"...you fill shoe boxes with age appropriate gifts...toys...gloves...and socks...these are sent to children all around the world who many times get nothing for Christmas...also I will be giving gifts of clothing to a childrens home in Northern Kentucky...
I am so excited about doing things to help others!

I am going to host a bingo night at our local homeless shelter with prizes and snacks.
I am also going to buy some groceries for a neighbor in need.

Judy & Jenny,
Please count me in that number as well. My RAOK is going to be two fold. I have a farm sister ask for a special request and am doing it as a gift for her. Also there is a family that lives on our block and I will be taking from my small garden a basket for them as she is very sick and not able to do very much and they don't have much. Her husband is the biggest care giver of her and I think to help ease their burden I shall cook some meals and make a few special things for them.
